Due to the flooding and destruction of highways and county roads, our Aquinas and St. Mary’s buses will be staying on hard surface roads with the designated pick-up points for Monday. Please plan on those hard-surface pickup points for the foreseeable future until your bus driver tells you differently.
Also, since Highway 15 to Schuyler is closed, we cannot send a bus to the city of Schuyler. That route that picks up students in places south of the river will still be running if you are able to get there, but there will not be a bus stop in the city of Schuyler.
We are working on solutions for the students who live in and around Schuyler and unable to get to David City. We will keep you posted on what we can do. In the meantime, please stay in communication with your teachers and classmates if there are some studies you can do from home. This is an extraordinary situation, so we will do our best to keep the education of all our students going until the end of the semester.
Please continue to pray for all of the flood victims. As you may be aware, the Butler County Chamber of Commerce is collecting items for the victims. They are especially in need of bottled water and cleaning supplies. Thank you for your help with that.
God bless you and stay safe.
